ログの木の香りに包まれたリラックスできる空間に二つのベッドルームとロフトを備えています。床は滑りにくいタイルを使用しているため、ヒトにもワンコにもやさしい設計。全館空調とペレットストーブで、年間を通して快適にお過ごしいただけます。敷地面積は約1000㎡、延床面積は約90㎡です。

Fils Cottage has two bedrooms and a loft in a relaxing space surrounded by the aroma of logs. The floor is made of non-slip tiles, making it friendly to both humans and dogs. Air conditioning throughout the house and a pellet stove ensure a comfortable stay all year round. The site area is approximately 1000 m2 and the total floor area is approximately 90㎡.

定員は6名。ワンコは躾がされていればサイズにかかわらず、基本3頭まで追加料金なしでご宿泊いただけます。ご利用に際しては、別途利用規約にサインしていただきます。

建物内は禁煙です。

なお、チェックイン、チェックアウトは、事前にご連絡するスマートキーの暗証番号を使用して非対面にて行っていただきます。

The maximum number of persons is six. Up to three dogs of any size may stay at no extra charge as long as they are well behaved. A separate agreement must be signed for the use of the facility.

Smoking is not allowed inside the building.

Check-in and check-out must be done in person using a smart key code provided in advance.

Fils Cottageは「ランタサルミ」のログハウスをチョイス

実は、Fils Cottageは、私たちにとって二棟目のランタサルミ社のログハウスになります。

2012年の3月に一棟目のランタサルミのログハウスをセカンドハウスとして、Fils Cottageから車で7分ぐらいのところに建てました。

なぜ、またランタサルミのログハウスにしたのか？
そもそも一棟目で数あるログハウスメーカーの中でランタサルミを選んだ理由は？
ログハウス好きの方には気になりますよね。

今から15年以上前になりますが、2007年から2010年の3年間、夫の転勤でドイツのシュトゥットガルト郊外にある小さな村にゴールデンレトリバー2頭と住んでいました。村は標高が600mぐらいの小さな川の流れる山の谷間にあり、当時借りていた家は村の一番奥あたり。先にはスポーツセンターとキャンプ場ぐらいしかありません。

300メートルも歩けば、イヌはノーリードOKゾーンになり、家からマウンテンバイクに乗って散歩に行ったり、雪が積もればイヌを連れクロスカントリスキーを履いて山の中に入って行ったりの日々。暑くなれば、イヌはクールダウンしに自ら川へ。

そのときのドイツでの暮らしがイヌにとってもヒトにとってもあまりにも快適で、日本の暑い夏を考えると涼しくて横浜の家からアクセスのよい場所にセカンドハウスが欲しいという思いが募っていくばかりでした。

気になるログハウスメーカーが4社ほど見つかり、カタログを実家に取り寄せてドイツに送ってもらったりして、帰国までの間にログハウスと別荘地についての知識はかなりつきました。

そして、一時帰国のタイミングに合わせて『夢の丸太小屋に暮らす』（ログハウスに特化した雑誌）を実家に取り寄せてはドイツに持ち帰り熟読。それに加え、ネットで別荘を建てた方のブログを読み漁る日々。

帰国した段階で2社に絞り、実際に物件を見学させていただき、最終的にランタサルミに決めました。

主な理由：
①デザインが美しい
②基本プランからの変更も追加料金かからずにOK（だったと思う。かかったとしてもわずかだった）
③ログが厚く、建具も良質
④常に新しい技術を取り入れ、性能、機能の向上に努めている

例えば当時は寒冷地でも冬場の水抜きが不要になる床下暖房など（一棟目を建てたときは、深夜電力を利用して基礎を温めるタイプ）、他のログハウスメーカーには見られない取り組みをされているところが技術系の夫には刺さったようです。外はマイナス10度というような真冬の深夜に到着しても、家の中はあったか快適なのです。

実際に10年以上住んでみて思うことは、ランタサルミでよかったな。
施工はBe-Leafの吉良さんにお任せしてよかったな。
と心から思っています。

吉良さんのお仕事はとても丁寧で、施主に寄り添った的確なアドバイスとアフターフォローをいただけたのも大きくて、また建てるなら絶対お願いするよねということになり、二棟目もランタサルミ＆Be-Leafにお願いしました。

Fils Cottage chooses “Rantasalmi” log house

Fils Cottage is actually our second Rantasalmi log house. We built the first one as a second home in March 2012, about 7-minute drive from Fils Cottage.

Why did we choose another Rantasalmi log house for the rental cottage?

What reasons did we choose Rantasalmi for our first house among the many log house manufacturers?

I’m sure you log house lovers are curious about this.

More than 15 years ago, from 2007 to 2010, I lived with my two golden retrievers for three years in a small village outside Stuttgart, Germany, due to my husband’s job transfer. The village is located in a mountain valley with a small river running through it at an altitude of about 600 meters, and the house we rented at the time was at the far end of the village. The house we were renting was at the far end of the village, and there was only a sports center and a campground in front of us.

If we walked 300 meters, the dogs would be in an off-leash zone, and we would go for walks on our mountain bikes from the house, or if there was snow on the ground, we would take the dogs cross-country skiing in the mountains. When it got hot, the dog would go to the river to cool off.

Life in Germany was so comfortable for both dog and human that when I thought about the hot summers in Japan, I just wanted to have a second home in a cool and easily accessible place from my home in Yokohama.

Then, in connection with my temporary return to Japan, I ordered a copy of “Living in a Log Cabin of Your Dreams” (a magazine specializing in log cabins) from my parents’ house and brought it back to Germany to read it repeatedly carefully. I also spent my days reading blogs on the Internet from people who had built log houses.

I found four log house manufacturers that I was interested in and asked my parents to send their catalogs to Germany, and by the time I returned to Japan, I had gained a lot of knowledge about log houses and vacation home sites.

When we returned to Japan, I narrowed down my choices to two companies and finally decided on Rantasalmi after actually visiting the property.

Main reasons:
(1) Beautiful design
(2) Changes from the basic plan were allowed without additional charges (I think. If there were, it was minimal.)
(3) Thick logs and good quality of windows and doors
(4) Rantasalmi is always trying to incorporate new technology and improve performance and features.

For example, they had an in-floor heating system that eliminated the need to drain water in the winter, even in cold climates (when we built our first house, the system used electricity late at night to heat the foundation), and other efforts not seen in other log house manufacturers that stuck with my husband, who is an engineer. Even when we arrived late at night in the middle of winter when it was minus 10 degrees outside, the house was warm and comfortable inside.

Having lived in the house for more than 10 years, I think we are lucky to have Rantasalmi. I am really happy that I entrusted the construction to Mr. Kira of Be-Leaf.

His work was very careful, and he gave us precise advice and after-sales services that were close to the customer. These made us choose Rantasalmi and Be-Leaf for our rental cottage.
